The Rohlik Group, an online grocery company based in the Czech Republic, has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon to support its expansion in Germany, Europe’s largest economy. Rohlik, which operates in Germany under the Knuspr.de brand, aims to broaden its footprint significantly across the country in the coming years.
With a presence already established in major cities such as Munich, Frankfurt, and most recently Berlin, Rohlik plans to eventually serve over a dozen German cities through its e-grocery services.
Through this new partnership with Amazon.de, Rohlik will initially roll out its offerings to Amazon Prime members in Berlin, allowing them to access Rohlik’s fresh and local products as well as its rapid delivery service. This collaboration will supplement Knuspr.de's existing operations, where the company continues to serve customers directly. Tomas Cupr, Rohlik's founder and CEO, highlighted that the alliance with Amazon is designed to broaden the company’s reach while strengthening its presence in the competitive German market.
Rohlik, a private company valued at over $1 billion as of 2021, has been aggressively pursuing growth across Europe. The company processes more than one million monthly orders and anticipates that its revenue will exceed 1 billion euros in 2024, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. This partnership is seen as a key step toward further establishing Rohlik as a formidable player in the European online grocery sector.
